When the body does not have enough number of red blood cells the person may become anemic and may feel tired all the time. One of the most common types of thalassemia is the beta thalassemia that involves the decreased production of the normal adult hemoglobin (Hb A). Minor thalassemia is one of the beta thalassemia condition in which the person has the one copy of the beta thalassemia gene along with the one gene that is perfectly normal beta gene. The extent of the thalassemia in the patient with thalassemia minor is very mild and the level of hemoglobin in their blood is not very less. Thus, for treating thalassemia minor generally no treatment is required.
